We went to Brookside Gardens for a St. Patty's Day fun walk. Here is Sophie patiently waiting with the frog...
There were several different stations to visit. We flapped our wings like birds, played "simon says" with 2 Leprechauns, did some jumping jacks, and an Irish jig. Once we were inside the atrium we had to look for the Leprechauns gold. Here Sophie found it...
Then she began to organize it in piles...
Then a volunteer came over and told all the kids "no touching the rocks". What?! First of all kids love rocks, and then they go and paint them gold...they might as well be pieces of candy. What a bummer. Someone didn't think through this preschooler event. Anyways...after a little begging and pleading we move on. Thankfully they had some bubble machines ahead- now someone was thinking! As we moseyed outside we found a nice photo opp...
I tried many times to get them to look at the camera...
Sophie was a really good sport...
I think Henry was just too excited to be out of the stroller...
For dinner we ate a traditional corned beef and cabbage stew...
And we ended the day with a treat from Carmen's...
